The Educational Development Unit of the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning supports the development of teaching and learning capacity at the University of Calgary. The EDU collaborates with instructors, staff and graduate students on implementing best practices and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The EDU supports the teaching development of instructors and graduate students, the integration of technology to enhance teaching and learning, and scholarly approaches to teaching, course design and curriculum development.

Teaching Awards Update

The University of Calgary Teaching Awards call for nominations opens Oct. 6. These university-level teaching awards are a distinguished honour for members of our university community. The awards are comprised of 11 categories recognizing excellence in diverse learning contexts, by individuals and teams, and through curriculum design and educational leadership.

Teaching Community

The Taylor Institute Teaching Community is an online repository where educators can share their research and best practices, access postsecondary education resources, and join discussions about topics in higher education. The Teaching Community supports collaboration among teachers and educational developers with the aim of enhancing student learning experiences.
