Plagiarism Workshop

University instructors often feel that they are fighting a losing battle against a digital culture that encourages and facilitates students in copying the work of others.  This workshop for faculty defines and discusses the environment of academic integrity that allows students to be evaluated on the basis of their honest contributions and efforts.  We will discuss the various forms of plagiarism, teaching strategies to minimize it, research and citation tools, and the pros and cons of online detection services.
