Desire2Learn Essentials: Content and Communication Tools

Desire2Learn (D2L) Essentials is an introductory workshop for those that are new to D2L that takes you sequentially through a typical process of designing and administering your D2L course. Join us for this 2 hour hands-on workshop that covers the essentials of D2L to get your course up and running. By the end of this workshop, you will have the opportunity to:

1. Navigate the Desire2Learn interface
2. Manage your student list and make your course available to students
3. Create a modular organization structure for your course content
4. Add documents, media and links to content modules
5. Email your students
6. Create discussion boards and student groups
7. Add events to the calendar
8. Use Course Copy, to move parts or a whole course from Blackboard imported course to Winter 2014 courses.
