I’ll be attending Interface 2006, the Alberta provincial distance education conference. It’s in Lethbridge this year, so a few of us will be making the trip south. This will be my first Interface conference, so I’m not really sure what to expect, but it sounds like it’s a pretty good event. I’ve got a proposal in to present on the ePortfolio project we’re working on, so if that’s accepted I’ll be sharing the stage with Patti while we show what we’ve come up with so far.
I’ll be bringing my camera, and will be posting photos to Flickr using the “interface2006” tag – if everyone does that with their own photos, we’ll have an on-the-fly conference photo album.
Thanks for giving us a little blog love D’Arcy.
Hope we can meet up sometime during Interface, the proposals are still under review, but it looks like we’ve got a pretty good line up so it should be an interesting conference this year.
Jon
Pattie, it’ll be good to finally meet you (in person, that is). I’ll ping Scott to see if he’s up for the trip. Might be some quid pro quo, since I’ll be co-keynoting the BCEdOnline conference in April. Seems fair for a BCite to make the trek to Alberta for our little distance learning hootenanny… 😉
That’s great news D’Arcy. Since you did that great session on podcasting for ADETA’s online PD in the Fall I’ve been hoping that an opportunity to meet you in person would turn up. I and a colleague also have a proposal under consideration for Interface. Looking forward to seeing you there!
Cheers,
Pattie
P.S. Think you could convince Scott L. to venture out here from B.C. for the conference? Seeing the fun you all had at the Northern Voice conference (via your Flickr pics) it would be nice to include him in the Interface 2006 festivities. : )
