Evan tries out his new skates for the first time this season (we picked them up today). It was a bit cold out on the pond (-18˚C) but still nice. The bonfires were blazing, music was playing, snow was falling.
At the frozen pond in Bowness Park, Evan fed the birds some bread. They wanted more. Always, more.

evan blasts across the ice. we wound up doing maybe a dozen laps of the big pond. it’s really surprising just how good he’s getting, and how quickly he’s learning.

We spent the afternoon at Bowness Park, chucking rocks on a beautiful early winter day (although it seemed more like summer). Evan picked this one as the photo of the day, and decided it should be called “experiment” (or, “speermint”)
