empty spacetrain
caught the train today because my bike’s still in the shop. hopefully I get it back soon, so I can get riding again. the spacetrain is cool and all, but doesn’t come close to riding a bike in the morning…
train guitar dude
this guy was giving it his best, playing on an otherwise crowded morning train. he’d had a rough night, but was still trying. we need more music.
tower and lines
the calgary tower, seen from the train platform as I headed back to campus after lunch.
last stop
hopefully the last morning bus ride for awhile. time to get the bike back out of the garage and start riding again.
crowfoot
crossing crowchild trail, before heading down to the train platform. I am so ready for the roads to clear just a little bit more, so I can get back on the bike…
I was going to delete the photo, but decided the grain and blur captured my morning mood better than a sharp and saturated frame from my DSLR would have. ugh.
fracking cold
the bus out to Tuscany decided to skip a few, so there was close to 100 people huddled in the cold, waiting to get home.
2066
the whole day felt a bit blurry and mindless.
priority
Evan and I headed downtown to take in the exhibits at the Calgary Science Centre (I still can’t call it the Telus World of Science). The exhibits were a bit static, with nothing for kids to actually _do_, aside from a couple of touch screen demos. We had some really good discussions about Darwin and Einstein, but I don’t think he really got anything out of the exhibits because they were all look and no real touch.
then we took a cold train/bus ride home. this whole no-driving thing is getting kind of stale.
end of the line
one of the original trains, waiting at the end of the line before heading back into the city. for me, the last morning train ride of the year.
