a strong chinook blasts the snowpack out of the city. probably 3/4 of the winter’s collection of snow melted away in the last 48 hours. headwinds during the ride home were 50-77km/h, making it one heck of a great workout. and I made it home without eviscerating any lung tissue. awesome.
the sun drops between a chinook-powered gap in the clouds, before setting on the Winter Solstice. It gets better.
The southwestern sky was lit up in reds and oranges. I really need to start packing my real camera on the bike again…
a strong chinook built up over the city for the last day or so, and this standing front held its position right overhead for most of the day.
a strong chinook arch blows from the west. hopefully this round of hot pacific air will finally melt the rest of the snow and ice around the city.
