blue sky foothills

Blue sky foothills

I had a meeting at the Foothills campus this morning, getting me out of the office and into a beautiful summer day. Love it!

goals

another summer storm brews over the foothills, before pushing over the city, as seen from across a decidedly empty soccer field.

climbing the LFH

We went for a father’s day ride around the community. Evan climbed the LFH on his bike, without having to stop. Amazing.

2010/06/20: Make a photo that creates depth. Draw the viewer in by choosing an interesting foreground, middle-ground, and background. #ds217

turmoil over the foothills

2010-06-07 turmoil over the foothills.jpg

the afternoon ride was made interesting by the usual June Afternoon Weather Disturbance Pattern. No thunderstorms today, but lots of wind, and lots of fast moving clouds. Spring in the foothills of the Rockies is never dull.

2010 @ 2000km

2010-05-13 - 2010 @ 2000km.jpg

I passed the 2000km mark just as I was leaving my community on the way to work this morning, along Tuscany Boulevard and Stoney Trail. The mountains were looming large this morning. It was a great ride, and I nearly didn’t stop when I got to campus…

bearspaw background

just to the west of our house, across The Tracks, the other side lives with a pretty spectacular mountain view.

2010/02/21: Backgrounds are tricky. They can make a subject stand out or distract from it. Make a photo with a good background today. #ds98
