Cheap seats
A buddy couldn’t use a pair of tickets for tonight’s game, so he gave them to me. Holy crap. Airfare to Vancouver is cheaper.

Evan shoots, with pretty decent form for a kid who’s never played on a team, learning from his old man who never played a day of ice hockey in his life…
first skate
Evan outgrew his last pair of skates, so we weren’t able to hit the ice until today, after swapping his old skates for “new” ones. What a beautiful day to go skating. We’ll be hitting the pond at Bowness Park later this week, for sure.
hustle
We went to watch Evan’s friend play hockey at the Bowness Sportsplex. It was a really great game, with lots of hustle. Good to see the kids having so much fun playing.

the Calgary Hitmen took on the Medicine Hat Tigers in WHL action – battling for first place overall. The Hitmen took the game, 2-0.

evan and I hit the community rink for the afternoon. he was eager to pick up his hockey stick and shoot the puck a bit. who am I to refuse?
