I was standing at the bus stop, headed to the other campus for a meeting, when a batch of Mini-U kids poured out of the BioSci building. Where else can a group of kids casually cross a road while traveling with a fully articulated adult human skeletal model? Awesome.
father’s day, with family at my sister’s house. the kids played together for HOURS. Awesome.
it was Zumba Night at Evan’s school. The Zumba instructor had been working with all of the kids for the last few weeks, and wanted to give the parents a chance to shake their stuff. My stuff was shaken.
I took Evan and 2 of his cousins to the local toboggan hill this afternoon. Perfect conditions for it – fresh powder, and falling snow, keeping the run pretty much ideal. Nobody got hurt (bonus) but they did get cold quickly. Nothing a mug of hot chocolate couldn’t cure quickly, though…
kids meet a friendly bearded dragon at one of our friend’s kids’ birthday party.
Evan waits with his friends and cousins, getting ready to start the birthday party at the Calgary Gymnastic Centre at Canada Olympic Park.
Me, climbing out of the foam pit, after swinging from The Rope of Doom™ as part of Evan’s birthday party celebrations.
We had our first meeting of the Silver Springs Beavers, and went for a group walk along the pathway near the meeting hall. It felt really great watching Evan and his friends playing along the pathway I ride every day 🙂
Evan was feeling shy, and out-estrogened at a nearly all-girl birthday party, so he hung out and cuddled with his old man. but he did enjoy watching the other kids playing.
