unsettled over the bow valley
I missed the weather, as it passed to the south of me. I wound up riding into some pretty strong headwinds, but stayed dry.

it was a rough ride home. not terrible weather, but I was bonked before leaving campus, and it wasn’t easy. still, even a hard ride is better than an easy drive.

rolling weather
some funky clouds rolled through town this morning, leaving some rain (and even snow in some areas). There were enough holes in the clouds to let sunlight through to bounce off and through them.

Springtime in Calgary

Up to +7˚C today, then up to +22˚C this weekend. At least the surprise dump of white stuff will melt quickly… It was a really fun ride to work this morning. Maybe too much fun. I’ve got street slicks on my bike, so didn’t have much traction. Going up hills was interesting. And I had to stop repeatedly to clear snow from inside the fenders, from off of the handlebars, off of my jacket and helmet. And had to constantly wipe the giant flakes from my glasses so I could see where I was going. I avoided the busiest street portion of the ride, ducking through a park instead. No need to take unnecessary risks…

Having this kind of info just an F12 away isn’t going to help. Especially as we head toward SAD season around here… Le sigh.
