apparently, I agreed to give a talk today. I thought I was agreeing to give a talk on Friday, since that's the date the person mentioned when they asked me. Turns out, they emailed me some info, including an attached Word .doc file. In the .doc was a list of dates. Including today. In about 5 minutes.
I hate Word .doc files sent via email. I almost never open them. oops.
