I headed out to Nakiska this morning for some solo socially-distant laps from the Silver chair. Definitely feeling better on the skis already, and managed to fit in 10 laps before heading back to the city. I’d lost track of the runs, and thought I was stopping at 7 or 8. 10 was a nice surprise. I think my form in turns is sucking less, and I’m starting to carve more so it’s getting easier…
It was super windy on the mountain, with a chinook blowing overhead. There was a weird mountain effect, where wind was being drawn up the mountain until it hit the higher altitude winds pushing the other way.
