Working on a COVID chapter, and planning the remaining chunks. I’ve got the high level narrative flow designed for the whole dissertation, significant portions of a few chapters in place, placeholders for the rest. Now to block out time and actually write it out…

🧺 Other

Mom’s seniors home is now in “green”, so they now allow limited visits with up to 5 people. Outside. In winter. So, she scheduled an appointment to reserve Visiting Area #2, and I stopped by to see her. She got really cold, so she had to head back inside after 15 minutes. It’s better than nothing, but good lord this COVID stuff is hard.

frosty visit

I’ve been using my iPad as a second display through Sidecar, which works great, but apparently causes Notes to freak out and peg the CPU and spin the fan for some reason. Switching to Gallery view in Notes seems to help, or disconnecting Sidecar. Sounds like a stupid bug in Notes. Sounds like this happens with any mac that has a second display? Crazy.
