Nice explanation of how you got the shot. On a really interesting photo like this one, I want to know the backstory about how it was done.
Thanks, Rob. I wasn’t sure the explanation would actually be much use. It’s not much more than me saying “pick up the camera and push the button” but it was fun anyway 🙂

good photography is about the photo, no? not the method, not the equipment, arguably not even about the photographer, considerin some of the excellent fine art coming from enhanced satellite imagery.

Thanks, Cornelius. I agree that it’s not about the gear – I shot some of my favourite shots with an iPhone. Knowing the limitations and capabilities of whatever gear you are using, and how to control it, is pretty powerful stuff though.
