much of my 14km ride is like this – up to 6 inches of loose snow piled over slush and ice, leaving only narrow clear tracks in the centre of the road where it’s safe to ride. but cars don’t like to share that one narrow track. not much fun to ride in the slog. i’ll be parking the bike until the roads clear up a bit more. riding on ice and snow is no problem, and is surprisingly fun, but this stuff just sucks the joy out of the ride. it does give one hell of a good upper body workout, from wrestling with the bike the entire time to stay upright…
