we spent almost the entire day on the deck today. family came over for lunch, so we fired up the grill. stayed out until after supper (also grilled). awesome.

Evan earned a little extra money, and wanted to use it to buy his own microscope. He’s been preparing slides to see what stuff looks like, and sketching notes in his notebook. This morning, he rushed downstairs before anyone else had woken up, to fire up the microscope for a few minutes before getting ready for school. Enthusiasm for science. Awesome.
