Me, presenting the “Identity in the Open Classroom” session for the From Courses to Dis/course: Exploring the Future of Courses online conference. I picked a topic that I’ve been thinking about, but hadn’t done much with, so it gave me a chance to pour through research and writing on the subject and put together a presentation. I think it went OK, and there was great discussion.

the antique coffee mill does a much nicer job of grinding the beans – big chunks, all neatly ground, with no burning or dust.

my dad’s old west german manual coffee grinder. it’s slower than the el cheapo electric we have, and just as loud, but more fun to use.

Saturday mornings seem to need more caffeine than usual, and the coffee maker just can’t brew it fast enough…

Waiting for breakfast at the Cadence coffee shop/diner in Bowness, while the tech at Bow Cycle put a new tire and tube on my rear wheel. I love this coffee shop – it’s got a great funky/cool/relaxed vibe, and the coffee is really good. I wound up chatting about photography with a guy who was exploring his Nikon D80.
