evan tried his hand at messing around with the delay effect. he picked it up really quickly, cranking out some awesome spacey sounds.

Evan and I headed downtown to take in the exhibits at the Calgary Science Centre (I still can’t call it the Telus World of Science). The exhibits were a bit static, with nothing for kids to actually _do_, aside from a couple of touch screen demos. We had some really good discussions about Darwin and Einstein, but I don’t think he really got anything out of the exhibits because they were all look and no real touch.
then we took a cold train/bus ride home. this whole no-driving thing is getting kind of stale.

We went to watch Evan’s friend play hockey at the Bowness Sportsplex. It was a really great game, with lots of hustle. Good to see the kids having so much fun playing.
demolished
nearly all of the demolition work is done – some drywall is still left, but it can wait until framing starts.

I stopped by the duck pond to shed my jacket before getting to campus. These little guys were sure I had some breakfast to share with them. They’re certainly less shy than they were in the spring. Also, a little bigger…

the renovation project continues. today, we tore out a bunch of drywall, and removed some interior framing. glad it’s not our house…
