no more band-aids
Winter is not kind to bikes. salt-induced rust on the chain, cassette, rotor, and any exposed steel. Thankfully, the frame is aluminum. After winter’s over, I’ll scrub the rust off, with a little chemical assistance, if necessary. I’ll probably (definitely) need to replace the cassette and chain in the spring.
We headed down to MEC to pick up some stuff to make me a little more visible on my bike, now that night riding season is here. I came out with a dorky reflector vest, a spoke light, and some reflector stickers for the bike frame. I should be pretty visible, now.
Also, these towers always catch my eye when I’m in this part of downtown. Something about the curved corners, tinted windows, and lines…
The storm sewer grates in our neighbourhood have been painted with reminders not to pour stuff down the drains. Hopefully, everyone will remember to run a block downhill to check if they’re allowed to dump toxic chemicals in front of their house.
But where ELSE are we supposed to dump our fish?
