Cheryl Jeffs

Educational Development Consultant

In the role of educational development consultant, Cheryl Jeffs supports excellence in teaching and learning through a range of research-informed educational development programs and initiatives, including workshops, consultations with faculty, and collaborative projects with academic units.

Cheryl brings to the University of Calgary a diverse background in professional and educational development, adult education and training. She holds a BA in family and nutritional science and a MA in adult education from the University of British Columbia. She completed her doctorate in educational leadership at Simon Fraser University. Cheryl has served on institutional, provincial and national boards and societies, and is currently a director of the Canadian Society for the Study of Higher Education (CSSHE) and Canada’s Collaboration for Online Higher Education and Research (COHERE). Her research interests include blended learning, educational development practice and the advancement of the scholarship of teaching and learning.
