For the March session, we will discuss the introduction ("Bridging Learning Research and Teaching Practice") and chapter 1 "How Does Students' Prior Knowledge Affect Their Learning?") from How Learning Works: 7 Research-Based Principles for Smart Teaching by Susan A. Ambrose, Michael W. Bridges, Michele DiPietro, Marsha C. Lovett, and Marie K. Norman.

The whole book is online here in a large PDF. Again, our discussion will focus on the introduction and chapter 1.
