The learning spaces of the Taylor Institute for Teaching and Learning are primarily used for teaching and learning projects conducted by University of Calgary instructors.
However, the Taylor Institute also wants to encourage members of the campus community in their activities designed to better understand and improve student learning and the teaching that facilitates that learning. Applications to host these events in the learning studios or in the Institute's public spaces will be considered for times when space is available. Protecting an environment that supports the scheduled course projects will also be considered.
Examples of such activities include but are not limited to the following:
- student or course-related poster sessions,
- showcase of student projects,
- instructors' discussion of book on teaching in the discipline,
- workshop on teaching in large classrooms, or
- workshop on integrating Top Hat in the classroom.

These requests can not be approved until after the Taylor Institute Learning Spaces Committee has met to review applications for university courses for Spring and Summer 2017 semesters. The deadline for those applications is February 17, 2017, and we will convene the committee approximately 1 week after that date.
